Error Code		Action
963	Memory	Indicates that the DRAM installed in slot 3 on the
Error		controller board is defective. Replace the DRAM SIMM.
		If this does not fix the problem, replace the controller
		board assembly. Go to the “Controller Board
		Assembly Removal” on page 4-19.
964	Emulation	Indicates that the download emulation CRC has failed. A
Error		checksum failure was detected in the emulation header
		or emulation file. Replace the code overlay SIMM.
965	Emulation	Indicates that the download emulation is outdated. Time
Error		stamps indicate that the download emulation and
		controller code are incompatible.
		• Disable the download emulation.
		• Program the download emulation into the code
		overlay SIMM.
		• If the above steps do not fix the problem, replace the
		code overlay SIMM and re-download the emulation.
975	Network	Indicates that a failure has occurred with the network
Card X		card installed in slot x (x=1, 2 or 3).
976	Network	Indicates an unrecognizable network card x. Replace
Card X		network card x.
978	Network	Indicates that a bad checksum has been detected while
Card X		programming network card x. Replace network card x.
979	Network	Indicates that flash parts failed while programming
Card X		network card x. If this is a network model printer, replace
		the controller board. Go to the “Controller Board
		Assembly Removal” on page 4-19.
990	Coupling	A failure has occurred in the coupling operation. Go to
Operation Error		the “Coupling Unit Service Check” on page 2-42.
991	Coupling	Coupling sensor 1 and 2 have turned on simultaneously.
Sensor Error		Go to the “Coupling Unit Service Check” on
		page 2-42.
992	High Voltage	The high voltage leakage detection circuit has detected
