italic Italic text denotes emphasis, a cross reference, or an introduction to a key
concept.
IEEE 488 IEEE 488 is used throughout this manual to refer to the ANSI/IEEE
Standard 488.1-1987, which defines the GPIB.
IEEE 1014 IEEE 1014 is used throughout this manual to refer to the ANSI/IEEE
Standard 1014-1987, which defines the GPIB.
