6.3.2Test Screen

The Test option facilitates testing and maintenance by allowing you to monitor and set the status of the analog interface leads, and to monitor or set the value of the A, B, C, and D signaling bits of all FXS circuits on that port. In cross-connect systems, the test option also allows you to apply test patterns and tones towards the user and network sides of the system.

Figure 6-4shows the FXS port Test Screen parameters,Table 6-3lists some actions you can perform from this screen, and Table 6-4shows the settings for each parameter.

Note: The above screen shows the ABCD bits as sent by the Tx and Rx sides. The “c” indicated on ports 3 and 4 indicate that the bits displayed will then be run through the TABS conversion table as seen in Figure 6-3.
