Step 3. If the test passes, the Fibre Channel optical cable is good.

Go to "Replace Fibre Channel Device".

If the test fails, go to "Replace Fibre Channel Cable".

Step 1. Replace the cables to the Fibre Channel ports with known good cables.

Step 2. Perform Health Check.

Step 3. View the event log at viewing level 3.

For more information, see Table 9, “Event Viewing Levels,” on page 42.

Step 4. If problems persist, inform the network administrator that there seems to be a problem with a device or a host bus adapter.

If problems are gone, exit this MAP.

Step 5. Replace external devices that are attached to the Fibre Channel ports.

Go to "Replace Fibre Channel Device".
