Remove AC Power

If the SNC 5100 is not powered off, perform the following steps to remove AC power.

Step 1. Perform a controlled system shutdown of attached host systems.

Step 2. Set the Power switch on the SNC 5100 to the off position.

Step 3. Disconnect the power cord from the power source.

External Machine Check

Perform the following external machine check:

Step 1. Verify that the external cover and front bezel of the unit are present and not damaged.

Step 2. Check the power cord for damage.

Step 3. Check the external signal cable for damage.

Step 4. Check the cover for sharp edges, damage, or alterations that expose the internal parts of the device.

Step 5. Correct any problems that you find.

Safety Label Check

Perform the following label check:

Step 1. Verify that the safety label shown in Figure 1 is installed on the SNC 5100.
