3.4.7 Powersupply filters
Tocomply with EEC directive89/336/EEC, an AC power filter ofthe appropriate type must be
connected. This c an be supplied by Baldor and will ensure that the MicroFlex e100complies with
theCE spec ifications for which it has been tested. Ideally, one filter s hould be provided for each
MicroFlexe100; filterss hould not be shared between drives or other equipment. Table4 lists the
appropriatefilter s:

Table4 - Baldor filter part numbers
Maximumearth leakage fr om the MicroFlex e100 is 3.4mA per phase (230V50Hz supply). This
value does not include the earth leakage from the AC power filter, which could be much larger
(seesection A.1.3).
3.4.7.1 Har monic suppression
When operating the 3A MicroFlex e100 (part MFE230A003) on a single-phase AC supply, a
13mH 4Arms (10A peak) line reactor is required to ensure compliance with E N61000-3-2:2000
class A limits, when the total equipment supply load is less than 1k W.
3.4.7.2 Reversing the filter
When using filters FI0015A00 or FI0015A02 as specified in Table 4, they must be reversed to
ensurethat the Mic roFlex e100 complies with the CE specifications for which it has been tested.
TheAC pow er supply should be connec ted to the filter terminals mark ed as the outputs, with the
MicroFlex e100 connected to the filter terminals marked as the inputs.
WARNING: This recommendation applies only to filters FI0015A 00 and FI0015A02.
Alternative filters or protection devices must be connected as spec ified by
themanufactur er.
