3.6 Regeneration resistor (Dynamic Brake resistor)

Anopt ional external regeneration resistor may be required to dissipate exc ess power from the

internalDC busduring motor deceleration. The regeneration resistor must have a resistance of

atleas t 39Ω, an inductance of less than 100µH, and a minimum power rating of 44W. Suitable

regenerationresistor s are listed in section A.1.4. The regeneration resis toroutput isconditionally

short-circuit proof.
