Service approach

Repair of the printer normally begins with the use of the printer’s internal diagnostics in conjunction with the troubleshooting procedures that are described in chapter 7. When a faulty part is located, repair is generally accomplished by assembly-level replacement of field- replaceable units (FRUs) (listed in chapter 8). Some mechanical assemblies might be repaired at the subassembly level. Hewlett-Packard does not support replacement of components on printed circuit boards.
