FUSER MODES	[Paper Type]=	Use this item to configures the fuser mode associated

PREPRINTED	LOW	Change the fuser mode only if you are experiencing

ROUGH		HIGH 2: Used for paper that has a special or rough
		finish.
		The default fuser mode is NORMAL for all print media
		types except transparencies (LOW), and rough paper
		(HIGH 1).
		CAUTION
		Do not change the fuser mode for transparencies.
		Failure to use the LOW setting while printing
		transparencies can result in permanent damage to
		the printer and fuser. Always select Transparencies
		as the Type in the printer driver and set the tray type
		at the printer control panel to TRANSPARENCY.
		When selected, RESTORE MODES resets the fuser mode
		for each media type back to its default setting.
OPTIMIZE	● HIGH TRANSFER	Set this value to ON if you are using highly resistive,
● HIGH TRANSFER	*OFF	lower-quality papers. (See “Scattered lines” on
● LINE DETAIL	ON	page 321 and “Blurred print” on page 321.) HP
		recommends using only HP paper and print media.

● RESOLUTION	● LINE DETAIL	Set this value to ON to improve the appearance of

	OPTIMIZE
	● RESOLUTION	Use this item to select the resolution. All values print
	300	at the same speed.
	600	300: Produces draft print quality and can be used for
	*FASTRES 1200	compatibility with the HP LaserJet III family of
	PRORES 1200	printers.
		600: Produces high-quality text print and can be used
		for compatibility with the HP LaserJet 4 family of
		printers.
		FASTRES 1200: Produces near-1200-dpi print quality
		for fast, high-quality printing of business text and
		graphics.
		PRORES 1200: Produces 1200-dpi printing for the best
		quality in line art and graphic images.
		Note
		It is best to change the resolution in the software
		program or printer driver. (Program and printer-driver
		settings override control-panel settings.)
