3Slide the lateral guides to fit the size of paper being loaded.

The image will be printed on the surface of the paper facing up when the paper is loaded into the bypass tray.

Reminder

Do not load more than 100 sheets of paper, otherwise a paper misfeed may occur.

Push the paper guides firmly up against the edges of the paper.

Detail

If thick paper is loaded, set the conveyance lever within the machine to “5.5 × 8.5 A5 Thick paper” in order to prevent paper misfeeds. For details on setting the conveyance lever to “5.5 × 8.5 A5 Thick paper”, refer to “When Thick Paper Is Loaded Into a Paper Tray” on page 2-53.
