Cleaning the Printer

RCAUTION:

When lifting the printer, use the grips on both sides of the printer. Otherwise, the printer might fall and cause personal injury.

When you move the machine, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet to avoid a fire or an electric shock.

When you pull out the plug from the socket, grip the plug to avoid damaging the cord and causing a fire or an electric shock.

Type 1 printer

Note

Please refer to the inside of the front cover of this manual to con- firm which printer (Type 1 Printer or Type 2 Printer) you have.

A Turn the printer's power switch off.

B Pull out the plug from the socket. Remove all the cables from the printer.

Note

Do not touch the three white pins on the right front side of the printer.

C Pull the paper tray until it stops. After that, lift it slightly, then pull it out of the printer.

D Move the printer to the edge of a stable table or desk.

Important

Do not put the printer on an un- stable or tilted surface.

If the optional tray unit is

equipped with your printer, do

unit together as they are not se-

curely attached.

When lifting the printer, make sure that the optional tray unit is not attached to the printer.
