Removing Misfed Paper

B Slide the paper tray back into the printer until it stops.

C Open the front cover, and then close it to reset the misfeed condi- tion.

Important

❒If paper is fed from the bypass tray, be sure to remove all the paper from the bypass tray and close it before opening the front cover.

When “Remove Misfeed: Open Front Cover” Appears

Important

❒Be sure to release the pressure re- lease levers before removing mis- fed paper. Otherwise, the printer might be damaged.

❒If you can see the misfed paper when opening the front cover, re- move the misfed paper from the

front side. If you remove the mis- fed paper from the output tray, the unfused toner might make the in- side of the printer dirty.

A Open the front cover by pulling

the front cover release buttons.

B Push the blue pressure release le- vers marked with (A).

•Be careful not to touch the fusing unit as it could be very hot.

A Pull out the misfed paper by holding both sides of the pa- per.
