Step 6 (Cleaning)
Residual toner on the drum is removed by the cleaning blade. The removed toner is sent to the waste toner container by the waste toner transport screw.

Step 7 (Discharging)
Seperation corona unit Transfer corona unit
When the OPC drum is exposed to the discharge lamp light, positive and negative charges are generated in the OPC drum CGL. The negative charges generated in the CGL move towards the residual positive charges in the aluminum layer, while the positive charges in the CGL move towards the residual negative charges on the OPC drum surface. Therefore, the positive and the negative charges are neutralized in the aluminum layer and on the OPC drum surface, removing the residual charges on the OPC drum surface. As a result, the OPC drum surface potential becomes 20V ∼ 30V.
