A buffer, when full, is always written to a ﬁle.

BUFFER-OUTPUT = *IMMEDIATE

At the end of each monitoring cycle, a record for identifying the end of the cycle is written, after which the output buffer is output immediately. Even buffers which are not completely ﬁlled with data are output. This could lead to block corruption. Consequently, a ﬁle generated in this way should not be processed using SM2U1; the sections of the block not ﬁlled with data are removed in this case. This method of ﬁle output should be employed when using SM2R1-PC and SM2ONLINE-PC V1.0, but it is no longer required for SM2ONLINE-PC V2.0 or later.
