To see how much memory is availablefor extra fonts, put the printer offlineandpresstheTEST buttonto printa statussheet.Yourprinterwill beep and show a front-panelmessageif you try to overloadits memory by downloadingtoo many fonts. It then will continueprintingwith the closestavailablefont to that requested.

As a generalrule,youcan includeat leasta dozendowrdoadablcfontsin a document.Addedto theinternalfonts,thatshouldbeplenty—itdoesn’t make good design sense to mix many typefaces. A telltale sign of amateurishlaser printingis too many fontsin one document.
