Choosing and printing a rule or pattern

Youneedboth of thenexttwo commandsto chooseandprinttheparticular patternyou wantto fill yourdefinedarea.Thesecommandsworktogether.

WiththePrintPatterncommand(whichactuallycomessecond)youspecify whetheryouwantto fillyourrectangularareawitha solidblackrule,a finely dotted gray-scale pattern, or a predefine linear pattern. And with the SpecifyPattcmcommandyoucanindicatewhichparticular dottedor linear patternyouwant.YoualwayssendtheSpecifyPatterncommandbeforethe Print Pauem command,even if you want a solid black rule.

To indicatethe particularpatternyou want, send the followingcommand. The general meaning of the n value you enter actually depends on the commandyou put after this:

If youwant a solidblackruleit docsn’tmatterwhatyou put in for n, as the printerignoresit.

Ifyouwanta 1-scaledottedpattern,fern youcnterhercapercentagenumber from 1to 100indicatingthedensitywithwhichyouwanttheboxfilled,from light to solid. Your n percentagewill comcspondto one of the eight gray- scalc densitiesin the chart below.
