5.6 Setting the Central Admin Server

zMaximum Connections

Select the maximum number of scanners that can be connected simultaneously to the Central Admin Server.

The default is "10".

zWake-On-LAN

Configures the Wake-On-LAN settings to start the scanner to be controlled from the Central Admin Server.

zPort Number

Enter the port number to be used to send magic packet for Wake-On-LAN. The default is "443". The value can be specified within the range of 1 to 65535.

z# Tries

Select the number of times magic packet is sent for Wake-On-LAN. The default is "3".

zInterval

Select the interval for sending magic packet for Wake-On-LAN. The default is "1" sec.

Screen Settings

These settings are for the Central Admin Console main windows.

Select the main window ("Scanner Admin Operations" or "Scanner Operation Monitor" win-

 

dow) to be shown after a Central Admin Console login.

z Screen Refresh Interval

Enter the interval in seconds, in which to automatically refresh the "Scanner Admin Opera-

tions" window and "Scanner Operating Monitor" window displays.

 

The default is 60 seconds.

 

LDAP Server

Configures the LDAP server used for the "Job Mode Settings" window displayed by selecting the [Job Mode Settings] link on the "Scanner Admin Operations" window in the Central Admin Con- sole.

zEnable LDAP searches

Select this checkbox to enable LDAP searches.

If the checkbox is not selected, the following items cannot be entered.

zLDAP Server Type

Select the type of the LDAP server to be connected.

zUse SSL

Select the checkbox to use SSL to communicate with the LDAP server.

zCertificate Only, CA not validated

Select this checkbox to validate the server certificate but not the certification path (certifi- cate authority).

zLDAP Server

Enter the LDAP server IP address, host name, or FQDN. This may be up to 255 characters long.
