5.7 Setting Scanner Configuration

The button displays the "Edit Scanner Details" window to add scanner configuration information.

zScanner Name (Required)

Enter the scanner name.

This may be up to 15 characters long. Alphanumerical characters and hyphens may be used. Scanner names cannot consist of numerical characters only.

A hyphen cannot be used as the first character of a scanner name.

zIP Address

Enter the numeric IP address.

This may be up to 15 characters long. Numbers and periods (.) may be used.

zMAC Address

 

Enter the MAC address of the scanner.

 

 

This may be up to 17 characters long. Alphanumeric characters and colons (:) may be used.

Settings Group

 

 

Enter the settings group of the scanner. Press the list button to select a settings group name

 

 

from the currently used settings groups.

 

 

This group name is used to identify the settings contents of a group.

 

 

The settings group name entered here is displayed on the "Scanner Settings" window, Set-

 

 

tings Groups.

 

 

This may be up to 32 characters long.

 

 

The following character strings cannot be used:

 

 

(Default) (All) __default__ __all__

 

 

"__" is two underbars entered one after another.

 

zAdd-in Group

Enter the Add-in group of the scanner. Press the list button to select an Add-in group name from the currently used Add-in groups.

This group name is used to identify an Add-in module.

The Add-in name entered here is displayed on the "Add-in Installs" window, Add-in Groups.

This may be up to 32 characters long.

The following character strings cannot be used: (Default) (All) __default__ __all__ "__" is two underbars entered one after another.

zSystem Updates

Select the checkbox to not update the system.
