Caution: Do not connect a modem to the AN/DC until you are certain that it is configured as described in Table 1-2. Connecting to the AN/DC with an improperly configured modem could cause the router to fail or lose data.

2.Power off the modem.

3.Insert the 9-pin receptacle end of the modem cable into the back-panel CONSOLE port of the AN/DC (Figure 1-10).
