Continuing with Netboot

1.Contact your network administrator to verify that the network is set up for the Netboot procedure.

2.Ask your network administrator (or refer to Appendix A) for the interface configuration command to use in Step 3. Write the command below for reference.

ifconfig _______________________

3.Type the appropriate ifconfig command at the Diagnostic Monitor prompt and press the Return key to configure the router’s interface to the network.

Figure 3-6 shows a sample command.

4.Type the following command and press the Return key to verify the configuration that you specified in Step 3:

getcfg

As Figure 3-7 shows, the getcfg command displays the location of the boot image and the network configuration file, as well as the interface configuration that you specified using the ifconfig command.
