You can choose to configure the system to point to the second ROMmon image, the upgradeable ROMmon image. At bootup, the system starts with the ReadOnly image and then, if configured, jumps to the upgradeable image. If the upgradeable ROMmon image fails to boot, the router will mark this ROMmon image as invalid and revert to the ReadOnly image.
