Chapter 5 NPE-G1 Overview

Connection Equipment and Specifications

Figure 5-10shows the simplex and duplex SC-type connectors on your multimode or single-mode optical fiber cables. For simplex connectors, two cables are required, one cable for transmit (TX) and a second cable for receive (RX). For duplex connectors, only one cable that has both TX and RX connectors is required. You can use either simplex or duplex connectors for the NPE-G1.
