ÊFasten the four captive screws on the heat sink (screw torque: 0.6 Nm, not applicable for the Japanese market).

ÊConnect the CPU fan cable to the system board connector FAN1.

11.3Replacing the processor

Field Replaceable Units (FRU)

Average hardware task duration: 15 minutes

Average software task duration: 5 minutes

VCAUTION!

Processors are extremely sensitive to electrostatic discharge and must be handled with care. After a processor has been removed from its protective sleeve or from its socket, place it upside down on a nonconducting, antistatic surface. Never push a processor over a surface.
