11.3.2 Preliminary steps
Before upgrading or replacing the processor, perform the following steps:
ÊDisable BitLocker functionality as described in section "Disabling BitLocker functionality" on page 59.
ÊFollow all procedures described in section "Opening the server" on page 48.

Refer to section "Removing the processor heat sink" on page 189 for removing the processor heat sink.

ÊUnlatch the socket lever by pushing it slightly away from the socket.
ÊFold back the socket release lever.
