5.2.6Enabling BitLocker functionality
If BitLocker Drive Encryption has been disabled for maintenance purposes (see section "Disabling BitLocker functionality" on page 59), it has to be
IIf BitLocker Drive Encryption has been disabled prior to replacing components you won't be asked for a recovery key when rebooting the server after the maintenance task. However, if BitLocker functionality has not been disabled, Windows will enter recovery mode and ask you to input recovery key for further booting.
ÊIn this case, ask the system administrator to enter the recovery key in order to boot the operating system.
ÊAsk the system administrator to enable
ÊOpen Bitlocker Drive Encryption by clicking the Start button, clicking
Control Panel, clicking Security, and then clicking Bitlocker Drive Encryption.
IAdministrator permission required: If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
ÊTo enable a temporarily disabled BitLocker, click Turn On BitLocker.
ÊFollow the instructions in the BitLocker Setup wizard.
