Manual Channel Search
After calling up the menu you will see the following display:
The buttons allow you to select different sets of parameters for the search.
In this menu you can selectively search a transponder for the new channels.
Satellite
Use the buttons to select the satellite on which the transponder you want to search is located. By pressing the
button at this point you can view a list of the installed satellites. Use the buttons to select the satellite you
want and confirm your selection with the button. Make sure your reception system is aligned to this/these selected satellite(s). If you want to search several transponders on a satellite, you should start an automatic search of the transmitting satellite.
Transponder Frequency
Use the buttons (transponder frequency already saved) or the keypad (transponder frequency not yet saved) to select the transponder frequency on which the channel being sought is transmitted. By pressing the button at this
point you can view a list of the saved transponders for the selected satellite. Use the buttons to select the transponder
you want and confirm your selection with the button. At the bottom right of the screen display, the receiver shows the current signal strength and signal quality of the selected transponder.
The “DVB Type”, “FEC”, “Polarization” and “Symbol Rate” options only need to be specified if the transponder has yet to be saved.
DVB type
Press the buttons to select whether you want to search for standard channels
FEC
Press the buttons to select the applicable error rate (Viterbi rate). When searching for DVB S(SD) transponders you need not state the error rate. Instead a fixed display of “Automatic” appears. When searching for DVB S2(HD) transponders you must state the correct error rate. Either QPSK 1/2, 2/3, 3/4, 3/5, 4/5, 5/6, 8/9, 9/10 or 8PSK 2/3, 3/4, 3/5, 5/6, 8/9 or 9/10.
Polarization
Press the buttons to select the correct polarization (horizontal or vertical).
