Connecting to a computer
This machine can be connected to a computer using any of the following connection methods.
Connecting to a USB port
In the following procedure, the machine is connected directly to the compu- ter by using a USB cable.
When the machine is connected to the USB port, installation of the TWAIN and printer drivers begins. For the procedure on installing the TWAIN and printer drivers when this machine is connected by USB, refer to “Installing the printer driver by using Plug and Play” on page
Reminder
This machine cannot be connected to a computer running Windows 98 SE using a USB interface.
