Connecting to a computer through a network

If this machine is connected to a computer through a network, the printer driver can be installed either before or after the connection is established.

%Use the network cable to connect this machine to the computer.

The remainder of the printer driver installation procedure differs depending on the operating system. Follow the appropriate procedure according to the operating system being used.

Note

With Windows XP, Server 2003, Vista and 2000, log on as a user with Ad- ministrator privileges to install the printer driver.
