Removing a simple-swap hard disk drive
Attention:
To remove a
1.Read the safety information that begins on page vii and “Installation guidelines” on page 73.
2.Turn off the server and all attached devices; then, disconnect all power cords and external cables.
3.Unlock the side cover.
4.Remove the side cover (see “Removing the side cover” on page 78).
5.Remove the bezel (see “Removing the bezel” on page 76).
6.Pull the loops of the drive assembly that is to be removed toward each other; then, pull the assembly out of the bay.
7.If you are instructed to return the drive assembly, follow all packaging instructions, and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
