6.14.1Advanced Configuration

Advanced Configuration changes some complex parameters within the device, and should only be performed by an advanced user. Typically advanced configuration is only done at installation and should not need to be done while at sea. The Advanced Configuration Screen is shown below.

6.14.1.1Device Instance

The Device Instance will be used to identify the GPS100 device on the network. Unless there are multiple GPSs on the network, this should be left at zero.

6.14.1.2GPS Antenna Altitude

The DSM250 is capable of setting the antenna altitude on a Maretron GPS100. You can choose this setting by pressing the Enter key ( ) with the “Antenna Altitude:” menu item selected which causes the screen shown in Figure 113 to be displayed.
