These commands allow you to enable, disable, or show the status of hardware acceleration if the XL accelera- tion/encryption daughtercard is installed in the R-Series router, or if the 4000-Series router has onboard acceleration capability (XL models).

In the unlikely event of a hardware acceleration card failure, the no hardware acceleration enable command allows you to turn off hardware acceleration. This will disable IPcomp compression.
