Chapter 9 OPERATING THE ROBOT

This chapter describes how to actually operate the robot. If the program has already been completed, you will be able to operate the robot by the time you finish reading this chapter.

There are two types of robot operation: step and automatic. In step operation, the program is executed one step at a time, with a step being carried out each time the RUN key on the TPB is pressed. This is used when you want to check the program as it is being carried out. In automatic operation, the entire program is executed without stop- ping, from beginning to end.

This chapter also covers how to initiate and recover from an emergency stop.
