T_Drop

This field allows entry of the pilot drop threshold (T_DROP).

sets T_DROP to 40.

Operating Considerations

When the Softer Handoff annunciator is lit, Sector A and Sector B are added to the mobile station’s Active list. If either of these pilot’s signal strength falls below T_DROP, the mobile station starts its handoff drop timer, T_TDROP. If the weaker pilot’s signal strength remains below T_DROP and the timer expires, the mobile station will send a Pilot Strength Measurement message to the Test Set. The Test Set will display “To Drop” in the Status column of the CDMA Mobile Reporting table for the Sector A or Sector B pilot that fell below T_Drop (identified by PN Offsets).
