Thedefaultvalueforthiscommandisthedefaultvaluefortheorigincode.Thedefaultvaluefor
theorigincodeisincompleteforroutesthatareadvertisedintoBGPbymeansoftheredistribute
command.
Example
Thefollowingexampleconfiguresthesetoriginvalueforredistributedstaticroutes:
XSR(config)#route-map 1 permit 1
XSR(config-route-map)#set origin igp
XSR(config-route-map)#exit
XSR(config)#router bgp 100
XSR(config-router)#redistribute static route-map 1

set weight

ThiscommandspecifiestheweightvalueformatchingBGProutingtableentries.Besurethata
matchclausehasbeenspecified.
Weightisusedforbestpathselectionandisassignedlocallytotherouter.Itisnotpropagatedor
carriedthroughanyrouteupdates.Routeswithahigherweightarepreferredwhenmultiple
routesexisttothesamedestination.

Syntax of the “no” Form
Thenoformofthiscommandremovestheweightvalue:

routingupdatemessages.But,itisthefirstvalueconsideredintheBGProute
selectionprocess.Routeswiththehigherweightarepreferedoveralternateroutes
tothesamedestinationsbutwithalowerweight.Range:0to65535.
