ppp peer default ip address

ThiscommandspecifiesthedefaultIPaddressofaremotepeerforuseduringPPP/IPCP
negotiationifthepeerrequestsit.Theaddressisusedwhentheremotepeersendsa0.0.0.0IP
addressintheCONFIGREQUESTandasksthelocalsystemtoassignanIPaddress.Theaddress
willnotbeusedifthepeeralreadyhasbeenassignedanIPaddresswithitsownlocal
configuration.
ThiscommandcanbeusedforInterfaceSerial,T1/E1channelgroups,BRIleasedlinewithPPP
encapsulated;EthernetsubinterfaceandATMsubinterfacewithPPPoEorPPPoAencapsulated.
Whenusedatthedialerinterface,itappliestothePointtoPoint(P2P)dialerinterfaceonly.For
DialerMultipointtoPointinterfaces,thedialer map ipcommandsuppliestheremoteaddress
associatedwithparticulardialingnumbers.

Note: The peer default IP address takes effect only when the peer is configured as IP address
negotiated.
