Activating the CAPI Port Drivers in Windows NT 4.0

To activate the CAPI Port Drivers in Windows NT 4.0 Workstation, first check whether the Windows NT 4.0 Workstation Remote Access Service has been installed onto your computer.

To activate the CAPI Port drivers in Windows NT 4.0, do the following:

1.Double-click the My Computer icon on the desktop, then the Dial-Up Networking icon.

2.A message may then appear informing you that the phonebook is empty. Click OK. If the New Phonebook Entry Wizard opens, or a dialog like the one illustrated below, then Dial-Up Networking is properly installed on your Windows NT 4.0 Workstation computer. In this case, close the My Computer window and continue from “Adding CAPI Ports to an existing RAS installation” on page 144. Otherwise, read “CAPI Port Drivers” on page 129.

3.Now click the Add button to install the next RAS-capable device. In the dialog that appears, click OK again. Repeat this procedure until you have added all the RAS-capable devices available. Finally, click Continue.

4.In the dialogs that follow you will complete the RAS configuration. Follow the instructions displayed.
