In the Virtual Port section you can select any of the ISDN CAPI Ports and choose from the drop down list any of the available COM ports. In the above example you will be selecting COM4 for the ISDN CAPI Port.

If you have made the correct selection of the COM port under the Virtual Port tab, click OK to complete the installation of the CAPI Port Drivers.

Note: Be aware that during the installation of the CAPI Port Drivers the selected COM port will always be assigned to the "ISDN Custom Config" modem emulation.

If you need any other COM port assignments you must install cFos for Windows XP. You can download this software from http://www.cfos.com or install the one delivered on the IBM International ISDN PC Card Installation Software CD.

The selection of a COM port instead of the ISDNPORT does not influence the usage of the emulated modems at all. The COM port selection is provided for those software packages which demand access to a COM port. The number of applications doing this is very low. The best way to find this out is by testing the software with the standard CAPI Port settings and then changing them if needed by reinstalling the CAPI Port drivers.

5.Once the installation is complete you will be asked to restart your computer.

After the system restart you will find in the Windows XP Device Manager the CAPI Port Drivers installed as modems.
