Conﬁgure

Button: Conﬁgure

The Conﬁguration options are presented in the order of likelihood you will need to use them. Quickstart is typically accessed during the hardware installation and initial conﬁguration phase. Often, these settings should be changed only in accordance with information from your Service Provider. LAN and WAN settings are available to ﬁne-tune your system. Advanced provides some special capabilities typically used for gaming or small ofﬁce environments, or where LAN-side servers are involved.

How to Use the Quickstart Page. Quickstart is normally used immediately after the new hardware is installed. When you are ﬁrst conﬁguring your Gateway, Quickstart appears ﬁrst.

(Once you have conﬁgured your Gateway, logging on displays the Home page. Thereafter, if you need to use Quickstart, choose it from the Expert Mode Conﬁgure menu.)

Setup Your Gateway using a PPP Connection.

This example screen is the for a PPP Quickstart conﬁguration. Your gateway authenticates with the Ser- vice Provider equipment using the ISP Username and Password. These values are given to you by your Ser- vice Provider.

1.Enter your ISP Username and ISP Password.

2.Click Connect to the Internet.
