Linking Menu Setup

The pre- and post-event recording settings for alarms and motion are configured in the Record menu. For information about pre- and post-event recording setup, refer to Schedule Menu Setup on page 37.

1.On the front panel or remote control, press the up/down arrow buttons to highlight the Linking menu option. Using the mouse, click the Linking menu option. The linking options are displayed.

ALARM INPUTS

The DX4508/DX4608/DX4608 support eight alarm inputs and two relay output; and the DX4516/DX4616 supports sixteen alarm inputs and four relay outputs.

•One alarm input can be linked to one camera channel. One camera channel can be assigned to multiple alarm inputs.

•One alarm input can be linked to one relay output. One relay output can be assigned to multiple alarm inputs.

1.From the Linking menu, on the front panel or remote control, press ENTER. Using the mouse, click the Linking menu option. The Alarm option is highlighted and the settings are displayed.
