7.To conduct a PTZ test to verify communication with the camera, do the following:

a.On the front panel or remote control, press the up/down arrow buttons to highlight PTZ Test. If using the mouse and the PTZ Test property is not already highlighted, click PTZ Test.

b.On the front panel or remote control, press ENTER. Using the mouse, left-click the window. The PTZ test controls are available. Refer to Figure 18.

c.On the front panel or remote control, press any of the arrow buttons . Using the mouse, click any of the arrow controls. The PTZ camera should respond.

d.When the baud rate setting you want is displayed, do one of the following:

On the front panel or remote control, press ENTER. The settings box changes color.

Using the mouse, click PTZ Test. The baud rate property settings box changes color and the PTZ Test property is highlighted.

8.To accept the settings and exit the PTZ Test mode, do one of the following:

Remain in the PTZ setting pane/revisit a PTZ setting: On the front panel, press the MENU/ESC button or press the MENU/ESC

button on the remote control. The PTZ Test property is highlighted. If using the mouse, click the desired PTZ setting.

Return to the Camera options pane: On the front panel, press the MENU/ESC button twice or press the MENU/ESC button on the remote control twice. Using the mouse, click the desired option.
