Example:

P330-N# set arp-aging-interval 20

ARP aging interval was set to 20 minutes.

Set arp-tx-interval Command

Use the set arp-tx-interval command to set the keep-alive frames sending interval. Setting the interval to 0 disables the transmission of the keep-alive frames.

The syntax for this command is:

set arp-tx-interval <value>

<value> - interval (seconds)

Example:

P330-N# set arp-tx-interval 15

ARP tx interval was set to 15 seconds.

set welcome message

Use the set welcome message command to set a welcome message to appear after a reboot or after opening a new session (see session command) in the stack.

The syntax for this command is:

set welcome message [string]

string

string - The string to be used as the welcome message.

 

blank - Restores the default string.

Output Example:

P330-N# set welcome message avaya

The new welcome string is “avaya”

Note: If you wish to define a string which includes spaces, you must enclose the entire string in quotation marks, e.g. "new york".

Sync time Command

This command synchronizes the time used by all modules in a stack.
