In this example, the attack-drop.sdf file is in router memory. On some routers,
such as routers with a disk file system, use the dir command to display the
contents of router memory.
Configuring IPS to Use an SDF
To haveCisco IOS IPS use the SDF in router memory, do the following:
Step1 Click Global Settings.
Step2 In the Configured SDF Locations list, click Add.
Step3 In the dialog box displayed, click Specify SDF on flash, and enter the name of
the SDF file.
Step4 Click OK to close the dialog box.
Security Dashboard
The Security Dashboard allows you to keep your router upda ted with signatures
for the latest security threats. You must have Cisco IOS IPS configured on your
router before you can deploy signatures using the Secur ity Dashboard.
