Step5 Remove the two lifting handles from the side panels of the router before

attempting to slide the router into the rack.

Step6 Slide the router into the rack until the rack-mounting flanges on each side of the

router rest against the rack-mounting posts.

Adjust the position of the router slightly, as necessary, to align two holes at both

the top and the bottom of each rack-mounting flange on the router with

corresponding holes in each mounting post.

Step6 Once all of the line card interface cables are removed, loosen the captive installation screws at the top and bottom of the cable-management bracket (see Figure7-27). 7-76 Step7 Remove the cable-management bracket from the line card. This completes the removal procedure for the Cisco 12008 cable-management bracket.
