Operating Modes of the Power Supplies

The AC-input and DC-input power supplies operate in either of two modes:

•Standalone mode—In this configuration, only one power supply is installed in one of

the two available power supply bays. To remove or replace a single power supply, you

must first power down the system.

Step6 Once all of the line card interface cables are removed, loosen the captive installation screws at the top and bottom of the cable-management bracket (see Figure7-27). 7-76 Step7 Remove the cable-management bracket from the line card. This completes the removal procedure for the Cisco 12008 cable-management bracket.
