PRP Console Port Signals
The console port on the PRP is a DCE RJ-45 receptacle. Table3-5 lists the signals used on
this port.

PRP Auxiliary Port Signals
The auxiliary port on the PRP is a DTE, RJ-45 plug for connecting a modem or other DCE
device (such as a CSU/DSU or another router) to the router. The port is labeled Aux, as
shown in Figure3- 11. The asynchronous auxiliary port supports hardware flow control and
modem control. Table3-6 lists the signals used on the auxiliary port.
