Example
This example shows how to display the port priority for Fast Ethernet front panel port 3:
6.2.2.6 set spantree portpri
Use this command to set a port’s priority for use in the Spanning Tree algorithm (STA).
set spantree portpri port-string priority [sid]
Syntax Description
Command Defaults
If sid is not specified, SID 0 will be assumed.
Command Type
Switch command.
Command Mode
Read-Write.
Example
This example shows how to set the priority of Fast Ethernet front panel port 3 to 240:
Matrix>show spantree portpri fe.0.3
port priority = 128 for port fe.0.3
NOTE: Path cost (set spantree portcost) takes precedence over port priority.
port-string Specifies the port(s) for which to set Spanning Tree port
priority. For a detailed description of possible port-string
values, refer to Section 4.1.2.
priority Specifies a number that represents the priority of a link in
a Spanning Tree bridge. Valid values are from 0 to 240
(in increments of 16) with 0 indicating high priority and
240, low priority.
sid (Optional) Sets port priority for specific a SID.
