11.2.1.6 set logging server
Use this command to configure a Syslog server.
set logging server index {ip_addr ip_addr | facility facility | severity severity |
descr descr | port port | state [enable | disable]}
Syntax Description
Command Defaults
None.
Command Type
Switch command.
index Specifies the server table index number for this server.
Valid values are 1 - 8.
ip_addr ip_addr Specifies the Syslog message server’s IP address.
facility facility Specifies the server’s facility name. Valid values are:
local0 to local7.
severity severity Specifies the severity level at which the server will log
messages. Valid values and corresponding levels are:
1 - emergencies (system is unusable)
2 - alerts (immediate action required)
3 - critical conditions
4 - error conditions
5 - warning conditions
6 - notifications (significant conditions)
7 - informational messages
8 - debugging messages
descr descr Specifies a textual string description of this
facility/server.
port port Specifies the default UDP port the client uses to send to
the server.
state enable |
disable Enables or disables this facility/server configuration.
