Setting boot parameters

You can reboot the switch and configure BootP. The topics covered in this section are:

"boot command" (page 196)

"ip bootp server command" (page 196)

"no ip bootp server command" (page 197)

"default ip bootp server command" (page 197)

boot command

The boot command performs a soft-boot of the switch. The syntax for the boot command is:

boot [default]

The boot command is executed in the Privileged EXEC command mode.

Table 60 "boot command parameters and variables" (page 196) describes the parameters and variables for the boot command.

ATTENTION

When you reset to factory defaults, the last reset count and reason for last reset will not be set to factory defaults.

ip bootp server command

The ip bootp server command configures BootP on the current instance of the switch or server. The syntax for the ip bootp server command is:

ip bootp server {default-iplastdisablealways}

The ip bootp server command is executed in the Global Configuration command mode.
