Device view

The device view lets you determine at a glance the operating status of the various units and ports in your hardware configuration. You can also use the device view to perform management tasks on specific objects.

Selecting objects

The types of objects contained in the device view are:

A standalone switch (called a unit in the menus and dialog boxes)

A port (including the SFP GBIC port)

Figure 34 "Objects in the device view" (page 129) shows the objects in the device view.
