Step Action

1From the Device Manager menu select Edit > File System. The FileSystem dialog box appears.

2Click the License File tab. The License File tab appears.

3In the LoadServerAddr ﬁeld, enter the TFTP server address.

4In the LicenseFileName ﬁeld, enter the software license ﬁlename on the TFTP server.

ATTENTION

The LicenseFileName ﬁeld is case sensitive and you can use a maximum of 64 characters including the ﬁle extension. Numerals are allowed in the LicenseFileName but special characters like @, -, #, and so on are not allowed.

5In the LicenseFileAction ﬁeld, select dnldLicense.

6Click Apply.

7Click Refresh.

The LicenseFileStatus ﬁeld displays the ﬁle copy progress. After the ﬁle copy completes, a warning message appears prompting you to reboot the switch and activate the license.

8To reboot the switch, choose Edit > Chassis

9Under the System tab, select the reboot option and click Apply.
